Headquartered at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska, AFWA is composed of approximately 1,400 active duty, reserve, civilian and contract personnel. A key resource for Air Force commanders and other top decision makers, the USAF Weather Agency Command provides 24/7 analyses, forecasts, warnings, and aircrew mission briefings to Air Force, Army, Guard, and Reserve forces operating at 350 installations throughout the United States, as well as terrestrial, space and climatological global environmental intelligence to Joint warfighters, Department of Defense decision-makers, national agencies, and American allies for the planning and implementation of every type of military operation.
